Richard Crutchfield

    Richard Allen Crutchfield, 66, of Show Low died on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at a Phoenix hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending.
    Mr. Crutchfield was born May 22, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of James and Loraine (Bard) Crutch-field. He was raised and attended school in New Carlisle, Ohio.  
    He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.  
    He was married to Carol Donnelly on Aug. 11, 1962, in Springfield, Ohio.
    They moved to Chandler 36 years ago, where he worked as a machinist in the automobile industry and owned Metric Mouse Machine Shop. He came to Show Low in 1988, where he owned Star Automotive and later was a delivery driver for NAPA.  
    He enjoyed NASCAR racing and drove a mini stock in races.  
    He enjoyed his family and grandchildren.  
    He was of the Baptist faith.
    Survivors include his wife, Carol of Show Low; two sons, Gregg of Show Low and Douglas of Queen Creek; two stepdaughters, Angela (Daniel) Nelson of St. Johns and Joan Palmer of Taylor; three sisters, Elaine (Jack) Benton of New Carlisle, Karen (George) Gatlon of Payson and Janet (Phil) Fischer of New Carlisle; two brothers, Steven (Rita) Crutchfield of Queen Creek and Jerry (Dixie) Crutchfield of New Car-lisle; and eight grandchildren.
    Black’s Mortuary of Show Low is in charge of the arrangements.
