David L. Rosenau, 60, died on Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low. Funeral services were held July 16 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakeside. Interment was at the Show Low Cemetery. Dave was born Feb. 21, 1948, in Mankato, Minn., to Russell and Norma (Chard) Rosenau. After high school, he married his high school sweetheart, Maureen (Micki) Hagen, in 1967. Dave sold insurance for AAL, and then decided to change careers and follow his dream to be a pastor. After graduating from the WELS Seminary, his first call to serve the Lord was to St. Joseph, Mich., in 1983. He served there for four years, then in Toledo, Ohio, for 11 years, then as a pastor on a reservation in Cibecue for eight years before retiring due to health issues. Dave and Micki relocated to Show Low, where he continued to preach and fill in wherever needed up until the week before his passing. Survivors include his wife, Micki; his daughter, Myra Jewell of Michigan; two sons, David R. (Susan) Rosenau of Wisconsin and Peter (Jodi) Rosenau of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; his parents, Russell and Norma Rosenau of Minnesota; two brothers, Chris (Connie) Rosenau of Georgia and Mark (Susan) Rosenau of Minnesota; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Owens Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
