Levi Dean Hancock

Levi Dean Hancock, 55, died on Monday, June 30, 2008, in Clay Springs.  Services were held July 5 at the Clay Springs Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was at the Clay Springs Cemetery.
    Levi was born to Levi Hancock and Lou Ann (Garvin) Boring on Sept. 29, 1952, in McNary.
    He was a master chainsaw man, who was highly skilled and very creative in woodworking. He enjoyed handcrafting tables, clocks, mantels and anything involved with wood.
    Levi also enjoyed being in the woods so much that he preferred to live in a tent rather than a house. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, collect Indian artifacts and cut wood for people around the area.
    He worked as a logger throughout his life, working for various logging companies throughout the United States.
    Survivors include his fiancé, Tonia Rider of Show Low; three daughters, Tracie (Sam) Lujan of Clay Springs, Amber (Tom) Sliwinski of Surprise and Crystal (Josh) Matea of Ohio; one son, Cody Hancock of Ohio; the daughter of his fiancé, Jazmien Shuff of Show Low; 11 grandchildren, Sabra, Jamie, Kelsi, Kaily, Triston, Viktor, Samantha, Dylan, Zeke, Melody and Dakota; three sisters, Anna Howard, Lou Etta Davis and Monty Spear; three brothers, Joe Hancock, Vance Hancock and John Kuhn; and his mother, Lou Ann Boring.  
    He was preceded in death by father, Levi Hancock; his step-father, Frank Kuhn; his step-father, Robert Boring; his son, Levi Miles Hancock; and his daughter, Shannon Hancock.
    Owens Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
