Groundhog Breakfast Draws Crowd Of Nearly A Thousand

Michael Chavez, the son of Janice and Cody Chavez of Springerville, formerly of Snowflake, en
joys his breakfast of sausage, biscuits and gravy.



The Snowflake Town Council, including (left to right) Vice Mayor Kerry Ballard, Councilwoman Sharon Tate, an
d Councilmen Tom Poscharsky, Jason Whiting and Chris Brimhall, served approximately 950 area residents an
d visitors at the Groundhog Breakfast this year.  The firefighters cooked sausage and potatoes, the police d
epartment made the biscuits and the Barry Flake Family made the gravy.
 


Members of the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department made the biscuits.  Lt. Joseph
Baca butters them as they come out of the oven.
