Kirkpatrick Plans Tele-Town Hall

February 5th, 2010

Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick will kick off her new tele-town hall series on Tuesday, Feb. 9, with a discussion on what Washington can do to help protect Arizona seniors. The conversation will begin at 3 p.m. MST.
Kirkpatrick noted that she supported the House health insurance reform bill in part because it met her commitment to close the Medicare Part D “donut hole” and make pre scri ption drugs more affordable for senior citizens, and she has expressed concern that the Senate-passed legislation does not meet that goal. She also voted to block steep hikes in Medicare premiums and prevent payment cuts that would make it more difficult to access care. She has been and said she will continue to be opposed to the privatization of Social Security.
Participants can dial in to 877-269-7289, and should press 15024 when prompted. They can then ask the Congresswoman a question by pressing *3.
