Pavement Maintenance Schedule AnnouncedJuly 9th, 2008
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has scheduled pavement maintenance on Interstate 40 and on the Navajo Reservation during July and August. Oil designed to rejuvenate and preserve the pavement will be applied to the following routes: * July 9 and 10, State Route 98 from the Coconino/Navajo County line to US 160. * July 16 and 17: State Route 564 (entire route). * July 28 and 29: Eastbound I-40 from two miles west of Winslow to two miles east of State Route 87. * July 30 and 31: Westbound I-40 from two miles west of Winslow to two miles east of State Route 87. A chip seal will be applied to the north I-40 frontage road between Chambers and Sanders on Aug. 12 and 13. ADOT advises drivers to proceed with caution, obey all posted speed limit signs, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
