Information Is Sought In Attempted Murder CaseJuly 9th, 2008
Snowflake-Taylor police are investigating the apparent attempted murder of a Heber man. Police officers and Taylor-Snowflake Ambulance personnel responded to a report received at 11:28 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, of an unresponsive and bleeding man in a parking lot located at 123 N. Main St. in Taylor. Upon investigation it appeared that the man had been involved in an altercation in which he was struck and run over by an unoccupied vehicle found at the scene. William Brad Despain, 46, of Heber, did not regain consciousness and was transported by ambulance to Summit Regional Medical Center in Show Low. He was later flown to Phoenix for additional medical care. Initial injuries diagnosed included a fractured pelvis and broken hip. He is expected to survive.
